Welcome and thank you for visiting the Friends of NICU website!! Our goal is very simple—we want to help families in need spend more time with their sick baby/babies while they are in a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). While our twin boys were in Mercy San Juan’s NICU, we saw the financial struggles that so many families experienced just trying to visit their babies. That, to us, was just unacceptable and a few months after we left the NICU, we started Friends of NICU. We help families in need with the following: · Gas cards · Food vouchers · Hotel vouchers · Strollers · Diaper bags

Nurses, doctors and social workers have told us that the foundation is working—babies are going home earlier when families have the ability to bond with their NICU baby. This is music to our ears and keeps us motivated on a daily basis to continue to raise money for these families in need.
Our last fundraiser, Celebration of Miracles, raised over $30K and was a huge success. However, more and more families are struggling to keep up, especially in these tough economic times, which means we have to continue to spread the word and continue to raise as much money as possible.
